In 2018 was conducted the 3rd Materiality Assessment & Stakeholders engagement (Corporate Sustainable Development & C.S. Responsibility Report 2018, Ch. “Stakeholders & Material Topics” p. 4-5 and “Materiality Issues” p. 26-27 following a Qualitative & Quantitative Survey (Company Reputation Monitor), in local communities, which took place in 2014. Such approaches are used to determine investments in infrastructure and other activities that benefit local communities. All projects take place in consultation with local communities.

Indicative examples include:

• Heating oil in the schools of neighboring municipalities Thriasio & West. Thessaloniki (€301,458)
• Heating oil in institutions and organizations such as “Apostoli”, “sos-villages”, “Athens Nursing Home”, “Hospice for Neuro-disability” and others. (€325,774)
• Fuels in municipalities for firefighting vehicles and in institutions for commuting, such as “Hellenic Rescue Team”, “ELEPAP” and others. (€127,982)
• Bitumen for road construction projects in the Municipality of Elefsina (€93,799)
• Natural science laboratories in schools in the Municipalities of West Thessaloniki (€57.195)
• Restoration of “Melina Merkouri” Theater of the Municipality of Mandra-Idylia which was affected by the floods (€308,552)
• Reconstruction of a children’s playground in Magnisia as well as the reconstruction of a playground and a basketball court in the Municipal Unit of Kalohori (€101,659)
• Support of Port Authorities: Thessaloniki, Elefsina (boat repairs), Samos (gloves) (€21,139)
• Support of Firefighting Services: 2nd ΕΜΑΚ (rescue mountaineering equipment), Elefsina (fire brigade repair), 2nd Fire Station of Thessaloniki (consumables and stationery) (€7,755)

• P/V installation on the roof of Heraklias school (€ 9,476)

Bulgaria:

• Construction of a children’s playground for a school in Sofia (€2,232)
• Full refurbishment of football stadium in Sofia, next to self-service station 1081 Kiril Nikolov. Sponsorship for the Sofia Municipality (€ 25,500)

Montenegro:

• Hospital Support: Berane Hospital (Hospital Beds) (€ 941.60)
• Donation of a rescue vehicle to the Cotor Protection Service (€ 2,000)
• Support to Fire Brigade and fire safety organizations during the summer period (€ 1,720)

North Macedonia:

• Donation of a 10 kV photovoltaic system at the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering in Skopje (€ 8.350)
• Trees donation to the Ilinden Municipality for the “Green Grade against Pollution” program (€ 1,255)
• Donation of a digital speech therapy kit at the “Mladost” Mental Health Institute of Skopje (€ 3,570)
• Donation of 8 computers at St.Naum Ohridski – Skopje University Clinical Surgical Clinic, as well as 4 computers and 2 printers for PHI University Clinic facilities for Traumatology, Orthopedic Diseases, Anesthesia Recovery, Intensive Care and Emergency Centers.

EKO Serbia:

• Donation to the NGO BelHospice (3,000 €) for the construction of the first hospital in Belgrade for terminally ill patients
